Scents of Summer

Several perfumes sit on my vanity, but there are only a couple of them that I reach for regularly and will continue to repurchase. Perfume changes slightly once it is on the body from how it smells in the bottle, and can differ from person to person. For example, I love the scent of Chanel Mademoiselle as well as Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. They both smell the same to me no matter who is wearing it. However, as much as I enjoy them on others, I do not care for how they smell on me. I do not always like to wear the same scent every day and prefer some of them during different seasons when they may suit me better. Chloé
​This is my favorite scent of all time! I started wearing Chloé in 2010 when I was living in the Loire Valley, France. Whenever I smell it, I am transported back to living and working in the old Abbaye de Pontlevoy. Chloé is very distinct, feminine and memorable. It is also my husband's favorite scent that I wear.​ The bottle is gorgeous, and one spritz will last the whole day.​

Bvlgari Eau Parfumée Au Thé Vert
I first discovered this scent in the hotel toiletries of our room when staying in Paris, and then again in a hotel in NYC. The lotion and soap smelled so heavenly I could not get enough! I was thrilled to find out that it was sold as a perfume too and bought a bottle. It has a light, clean scent that is delicate and discreet, intense but calming. It is soft enough for the gym yet sophisticated enough for a fancy dinner. ​

Laila by Geir Ness
My husband and I love to go to EPCOT at Disney World. This perfume is sold in the Norway pavilion where they carry the Geir Ness line. Everytime we are at EPCOT, we go into the Norway gift shop to spray the his and hers scents on ourselves. This perfume is long lasting, refreshingly crisp and bright. The scent stays true on the body. My husband surprised me with a bottle of it last year and it reminds me of Disney whenever I wear it!

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Body Mist
The scent of this body mist is just as delicious as the Brazilian BumBum cream I mentioned in my skincare blog post below. It smells like summertime and sunshine to me. I often wear this on pool or boat days, and even to the gym. The larger bottle is 240ml, so it lasts a long time, and is a great value for the price.​
