Many people fall in love with Paris. The "City of Light" is often what comes to mind when one thinks of France. Whether after just one short visit, an extended vacation, or from passing a significant amount of time living there, the result is usually the same. I, too, fell in love, but not just with Paris. First, it was a coup de foudre with Les Vosges, then eventually Alsace, Les Alpes, and Bretagne. In later years, I was charmed by the enchanting Loire Valley and the exhilarating Cote d'Azure. Most recently, it was Provence that pulled at my heartstrings. J'aime la France for several reasons. The main one is that living in France changed the course of my life - I believe for the better. This beautiful country and her culture have left an impression on me that influence my everyday life, from how I eat and dress, to helping raise my stepchildren. France is what has made me who I am; it's where it all began.
