At Home Beauty Treatments

Going to get beauty treatments at a salon or spa is a luxury I think everyone should treat themselves to from time to time. However, it is also fun to have a spa day at home. I have a few self care indulgences and beauty routines that I'd like to share with you. Below is a list of my go-to products for when I am in between salon appointments or just want to have a day of self care at home. You can click on any of these images to purchase the product.

Ambiance

Nest Reed Diffuser

You know how fancy hotels or spas have that subtle relaxing, clean scent that you cannot quite identify? That is the kind of scent I love, one that creates calm. I love burning candles, but I was looking for something that could be left on the counter requiring no attention from me. I decided to try out a Nest Reed Diffuser and put one in my closet. The Ocean Mist scent is perfectly soft and the bottle is simply stunning. I like that I can control the intensity of the fragrance and that it will last for 90 days! I want to get another one but cannot decide which scent. If you have tried any of them, please let me know in the comments!

Briogeo Deep Conditioning Hair Mask

My hair is brown, but I have been blonde for about four years. My hairstylist lightened my hair gradually to maintain its health. Even so, my hair can benefit from a weekly deep conditioning. I always notice less tangles and more shine for a few days after using this product. I have used a few different hair masks over the years and this one has become my favorite because of the convenience that I can use it in the shower. After shampooing I apply this hair mask and let it sit for about 5 minutes, enough time to wash my face and shave my legs. An added bonus is that this brand is on the "Clean at Sephora" list of products!
Rita Hazan Root Concealer Touch-Up Spray

I spray this on my roots not only when they are grown out, but to sometimes fill in my hairline too. When I pull my hair back into a ponytail parts of my scalp sometimes show, so this helps create the illusion of thicker hair. It is super easy to use, just shake spray and brush through. The shade range is pretty inclusive, it does not transfer too much, and washes out with shampoo.

Tatcha mask

I've been a huge fan of Tatcha products almost since the brand's inception. Check out my Skin Care Routine post for two of my must-have favorites, which I have used and recommended for years. I love them so much that I bought a trial size kit so I could have them when I travel, and this mask was included in the kit. Not only is the packaging stunning, but the violet color of the mask just makes me happy! It is very gentle and does not become tight or flaky as is dries. My skin feels very soft and hydrated after using this mask. *also on the "Clean at Sephora" list of products*
Tarte SEA Pack Your Bags Undereye Patches

First of all, I love the name of this product! With my affinity for traveling with only carry-on luggage,  I admit that I initially bought these because of the fun dual reference to travel and beauty. These eye patches are so easy to use. They stay put, as long as you are applying them to clean skin. Since they are clear, they are a little less noticeable than some of the other ones out there. My under eye area feels hydrated after wearing them. *also on the "Clean at Sephora" list of products*

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial

This mask is a newer product to me. I have heard a lot of talk about it and read several positive reviews. I must say that it works quite well, but be prepared for your face to tingle quite a bit. It comes with a trial size of the Virgin Marula Oil which they advise to apply after using the treatment. *also on the "Clean at Sephora" list of products*
Eyebrow Razors

Dermaplaning is a quite popular face treatment right now. It helps to remove dead skin and peach fuzz which allows your skin care to absorb better and your makeup apply more smoothly. After having it done twice, I decided it was in the realm of treatments I would rather do at home. I have quite a bit of peach fuzz on my forehead, ears and jaw, and these little razors are perfect for gently removing it, no appointment necessary!

Karuna Hand Masks

Maybe it is because I worked in both food service and healthcare for several years, but I have always been a little obsessive about washing my hands. I am also obsessive about making sure my hands stay moisturized. So, in addition to applying lotion regularly, I like to use hand masks, especially in the winter when I tend to have drier skin anyway. These smell heavenly and fasten securely on your wrist.
Gel Nail Kit

I used to get manicures regularly because I like my nails to be painted and look nice. However, I honestly do not enjoy them. I am happy to carve out an hour of my day for a pedicure as a relaxing treat, but for some reason, I do not share the same sentiment on manicures. Therefore, I decided to buy a gel kit and teach myself how to do it! It took a bit of practice, but now I save both time and money by doing my nails at home while I watch one of my favorite shows!

Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops

After trying many self-tanners that are either messy, smelly, or require a lot of body prep and downtime, I have fallen in love with these self tanning drops. I add them to my regular body moisturizer and apply it about every other day to maintain the color. It does not build up, and of all the tanners I have tried, this fades the most evenly. I use the medium, but it also comes in light and dark. *also on the "Clean at Sephora" list of products*
Maelys B-Tight Lift & Firm Booty Mask

I think that almost every woman I know has complained about cellulite on some level. It is just something we have as women no matter our shape, size or level of fitness. I do not think mine is too bad, but it exists, and it does bother me enough to want to do something about it. While I have tried different laser treatments, and I work out regularly, I have not found anything that can actually eliminate the cellulite that I do have. I will not give you false hope that this will get rid of cellulite, but I believe that when I use it, I see a temporary reduction of it. Shortly after applying the mask it starts to heat up, so be sure to wash your hands directly after use!

Earth Therapeutics Precisso Plus Pedicure File

I mentioned before how I love to treat myself to a pedicure, but to insure my feet stay smooth and soft in-between appointments, I use a dual sided foot file like this when I am in the shower. One side is more coarse and the other is fine. I then follow up with a foot cream listed in my "Skin Care Routine" post.

    Makeup & Me

I have been obsessed with makeup since I was young. However, my mother never wore makeup so I learned how to apply it on my own through trial and (a lot of) error. Youtube has recently changed the makeup world. I love to watch tutorials for application tips and recommendations on products.
